Help students review the different shapes they have learned in your geometry unit, including both flat figures (square, circle, hexagon...etc...) and 3-D solid figures (cylinder, sphere, hexagonal prism ..etc...). Each student is given a card in this game with either a flat or 3-D figure on it. After their description has been called out by another student, they stand up and announce their shape and give a clue for the next shape. The game continues until all shapes have been revealed. The game requires students to use their listening skills to match the description being read to their particular card. There are a total of 21 geometric shape cards to be handed out
I did this with my 2nd grade gifted class today, and they LOVED it! Great activity to practice geometry as well as listening skills. Excellent clues and examples made the game go quickly, and the cards are very aesthetically pleasing.
