This PowerPoint is a great introduction to learning the names of 3D shapes. Students are asked to look at a shape and decide whether it is a cube, cylinder, cone, rectangular prism, pyramid, or sphere. Each shape is shown twice. This would also go well with my Super Shapes 2D and 3D packet!
