Need a new twist on teaching idioms? Use this lesson plan to give your students a fun way to show what they have learned about idioms. Students will be given a specific idiom, write the meaning and illustrate it. Then students then have a chance to share their illustration while their classmates try to guess which idiom they illustrated. I used the Kagan structure Inside/Outside circle to do the sharing section in my classroom.
This is a fun lesson and I love the teacher chart to keep track of who is working on which one. My only wish is for blank ones as I have a class of 30.
