Idioms Task Cards Set 2: 32 Multiple Choice Cards for CCS L.4.5 and L.5.5

Use these 32 multiple choice Idiom Task Cards to help your students learn the meanings of common idioms. In addition to the 32 cards, there is also a Challenge Card that can be used with every other card in the set to extend the activity. The Challenge Card requires students to write a short paragraph using the idiom on the card. A student answer sheet is included as well as an answer key so students can check their work. The multiple choice format make these cards great for test prep. Use at centers, in pairs or small groups or with your entire class using a game like Scoot.
The cards will look best in color, but will also print out fine in grayscale. Simply print and cut along the guidelines. Laminate and use them again and again. Alternatively, you could print on cardstock. It works well to keep them in a baggie. Another option is to hole-punch a corner of each card and put them all on a ring.
This product addresses the following fourth and fifth grade Common Core Standards:
L.4.5. and L.5.5 Demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I went to the download you sent, downloaded the font but when I went to download the Idiom Task Card File again, that I purchased, the black lines are still covering the scrolls. I also checked first my Adobe download and it is current near as I can tell. Any other suggestions?

I purchased these task cards for my classroom lessons this coming week and when I went to print them, the Idiom question is blacked out. The multiple choice options are showing but through the blue scroll is a black line/shape covering the question. I have never been disappointed before in anything I have purchased from you, but this time I am, can you help? Thanks so much

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
Most of my teaching experience is with gifted and talented students in grades 2-4, though I have worked with children of all ages in general education classrooms as well. A few years ago I stopped teaching in order to write nonfiction children's books full time. Gradually over the last couple of years, my career has switched from writing to creating teaching materials here on Teacher Pay Teacher. I love creating teaching products (most recently task cards) and feel just as passionate about my work now as I did when I was teaching.
