Iditarod Race Game board Activity Fun Lesson for Students
(Saved in both PDF and Microsoft Word)

This is a game board that can be printed off and used for a fun activity to go along with other Iditarod activities. As a teacher, all you need is some dice and little game pieces that can easily be made from a pencil eraser, paper, etc. Before the game begins, students will need to cut out the 18 game cards. It is best if the game is copied on colored paper or card stock (for the game pieces basically). Students enjoy this activity.

My students loved the idea of this game, but found it very frustrating because the game organization forced them to frequently move their pieces back on the game board. With 4 players playing at a time, no group was ever able to actually have a winner. It was somewhat annoying.
