This can be a whole group activity and then progress into a math center. It allows practice of subtraction with numbers to 10.
Give each student a card and 10 red and blue cubes. Students will match the red number with red cubes and blue number with blue cubes. Take turns for all students to demonstrate their subtraction problem to the class.
Game can then be transferred to small group, if needed.
This will be a great math center. Materials needed are cards, I Can...chart, red and blue cubes.
This practice was badly needed by my kiddos. Thanks so much!
