This is a graphic organizer to help students move from the literal to the figurative meaning behind imagery. Students are asked to write the literal meaning from the text, draw a picture of the selected text, and explain the figurative meaning to tie it all together. This graphic organizer is the certain piece for a bundle of lessons written around Dr. Seuss and Robert Frost, using imagery as its focal point.
