Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is a powerful book which students enjoy reading and discussing. This 8-page handout includes discussion questions which the teacher may use to lead daily discussions of the book. The questions may also be duplicated and distributed to students for small group discussions. Since the questions follow the book exactly and are meant for discussion, no answer key is provided.

This is my first time teaching this novel and this study guide was extremely helpful. It gave me a jumping off point for my classroom discussion, quizzes and journal entries.

Good questions, but would have been nice if you had provided an answer key or at least some suggested answers- that would have really saved me some time, which is why I was purchasing this to begin with.

I worked in schools either as a middle school teacher, high school teacher, or administrator for over thirty years. Most of my experience has been in high school English classrooms. I have taught everything from ninth-grade literature to students with major reading problems all the way to AP English Language and Composition teacher. Although I love teaching, I retired at the end of the 2009-2010 school year when over 500 teachers in my district lost their jobs because of the bad economy. I'm praying that the economy will improve and I will be able to find another teaching job in high school or college in the future.
