This math center measurement activity, which is appropriate for K-2 students, supports the Common Core Math Standards in Measurement and Data. Students will use multiple copies of 'inchworm units' to measure colorful flowers, insects, and creatures, and then record their measurements on a recording sheet. An activity appropriate for comparing length of objects is also included.
If you purchased a PDF and it is blurry after you open it, solve it this way: on a MAC or PC, install the latest version of ADOBE READER. Then, open the file with ADOBE READER. That's it. On a MAC, make sure to "Open With" ADOBE READER and NOT Preview. If it's still blurry, that's because you are still opening it with Preview!
This is one of my favorite stations for my firsties. I love that they can practice measurement independently. Last year I even used this as my measurement assessment. I pulled one child at a time and had them measure some of the cards, quick, hands-on assessment that was very accurate! Enjoy!

Thank you! I agree. My firsties still want to use this measurement center, even at the end of the year after they've all done it at least 5 times!

Can't wait to use it. Just finished up our unit on measurement.
So cute! I bet my students will love this! Just the other day they thought measuring the furniture and bookshelves in the school library was "awesome"! Just wait until they see your colorful designs!!
