I'd love to see this in a black and white version, if possible, since I don't have mass color printing capabilities at my school. I still am excited to try a new way to present the book to my class! I love your use of a variety of reading strategies. Thanks for your hard work!
You are sweet. Thank you so much for your feedback. A black and white version is a great idea. I'm going to need to add that to my "to do" list. Thanks so much for the suggestion. :-)

We ran out of time before Christmas break. I can't wait to use this when we get back.
This is my first time teaching 3rd grade and this looks so fun and great for my class. Thanks this year I am really trying to teach Soical Studies through Novel studies and this will be a great addition to this unit!

Do you recommend using this foldable DURING the reading of the novel, or is this better utilized at the end of the book?
We put the foldable together first before reading, (which got the kids really excited about diving in!) then filled it in DURING the novel. When we finished Chapters 1 & 2, for instance, they wrote the summaries for those chapters. As they thought of questions, they wrote those under "generating questions, we added vocabulary as we went along etc. Hope that helps! Let me know how it goes. LOVE this story! :-) nomonkeybusinessmichelle@gmail.com
