This is a Smartboard activity/lesson on inferring. It is to be used in conjunction with the book entitled No, David! written by David Shannon. This is a great book with lots of examples of things that David does and then the students will nee to infer about what happens next. The Smartboard activity has pages that give examples of a quote from the book and students must infer. There are also additional slides that give simple sentences for students to infer about. Then it moves up into paragraphs that inferences will be made from. At the end there is a simple graphic organizer to complete based on inferences from the paragraphs. Great beginning Inferring activity!

I am interested in your wonderful inferencing lesson using "NO, David," and I wonder if it is necessary to receive permission from the author / publisher to use the artwork or any text, or is it enough to give credit to the author? Thank you so much!
The lesson only contains the cover of the book. So I am guessing just giving credit to the author will suffice.

I have always thought 'No, David' would be wonderful jumping off point for reading and writing activities!
Hello...I am sorry unfortunately I do not have this in any other format. My best suggestion is downloading the free trial of notebook software from www.smarttech.com to view the lesson on a computer if that helps. Its free and u do not need a smartboard to use the software. Hope this helps!
