Students will look at two seperate pictures of longouses from the Iroquious Confederacy. They will then use those pictures to write about a longhouse as if they lived in one. The pictures can be colored and it makes for a nice creative writing experience.
This was a fun activity for my students. They enjoyed imagining what it would've been like to be taken captive along with Molly Jemison. Thanks for a fun resource!
My students enjoyed using the pictures given to write their own account! Great for enrichment and writing activity! Used it in 7th grade inclusion class in bilingual NYC school.
