To help ensure students are gaining the knowledge and skills they need, teachers must present lessons in a systematic way that gives much needed support in the beginning, but then tapers off as learning occurs. Following an instructional presentation cycle is especially important if being observed or evaluated. This cycle can be used at any grade level.

Over the past couple of years I have worked in K-1 and 1-2 multiage classroom settings. I also have three years experience teaching first grade, four years teaching second grade and one PreK year. I have been a K-2 Lead Teacher for five years. I have also been a Core Knowledge Curriculum Coordinator. I currently work as an elementary instructional coach - teaching teachers how to teach!
