A comprehensive unit all about PIZZA! Students will learn about social studies concepts: needs, wants, goods, services, producers, consumers all while pretending they are owners of a pizza place. They can learn about plants with a class pizza garden; your science will come alive! Math makes an appearance while measuring the plants, solving story problems and making fractions. Count syllables, put words in alphabetical order and write "how to" papers. This unit includes photographs of actual posters used in my classroom, descriptions of activities, graphic organizers for those activities, agricultural awareness and more! Make pizza ovens, plant a garden, make felt pizzas... all directions included in this 33 page unit!
