These activities will work as individual activities or with a learning center in an early elementary classroom. These are activities I created to go with a basal reader book about snakes, but they can both work with any book or unit with snakes. I used them as a week-long center activity, but they could be used in one day or lesson, as well.
The students will be reinforcing fact and opinion as well as measurement in feet.

I have taught for eleven years in a variety of grade levels and socio-economic levels. I have enjoyed all grade levels that I have taught, and am enjoying my current work in Junior High! I have a B.S.I.S. from Midwestern State University and a Master's in Technology Integration from Nova Southeastern University.
