I'm excited to comb slowly and carefully through the ISN and to begin using it in my classroom. Perhaps consider making a table of contents page for the product itself? Also, I'd love to hear about the ways that you have used the graphic organizers and responses with a variety of content and skills.
Getting back to teaching after 2 years off..I'm excited to use interactive notebooks!

Good ideas...I changed some of the sheets to better fit my teaching but it was great to not have to think this up and make myself. Saved me lots of time!

Thank you. I think it will be a great resource. I may need to think about how to use it just a bit.
I'm very excited to get started. After I purchased the kit I brought it to my (High School English) department, and we've decided to use it to help students make a resource that will follow throughout their high school careers.
Great resources for a variety of uses! I've noticed growth in many aspects of my classroom routines and effectiveness of my lessons!

I wish you hadn't used the 'winzip' I have had so much trouble with it, it looked like for a while I was going to have to pay 29.95 to get your book. They don't make it easy. Even if I love your book , I will think twice about purchasing anything else.

I will start using this on Monday in my classroom. Well thought out and organized.
As an advanced user of ISNs, I was hoping to find some new materials to share with a colleague that is new to them. There were some good ideas, but a lot of the pages seemed like filler.

This is a great resource, a little overwhelming at first, the examples provided were helpful, but as someone attempting to use interactive notebooks for the first time, I think I could use a bit more direction. I think I will try to use these next school year so that I have time to go through the materials. The templates are well constructed!

Is your ISN geared more for reading/writing? I am looking into something like this for my math classes and wanted to see before I purchase. I appreciate your time.
Hi Mary, it is geared more towards reading, writing, social studies and science, but the concept def. applies to Math. It is a collection of templates that can be used across the curriculum. If you want something specific to math check out Jen Runde's Math Journal!!!

Can these templates be used in the small black/white cover composition books? I would really love to do this idea this year in my math classes, but we don't have spiral bound notebooks???
Hello, I want to implement your STAR notebook into my reader's workshop this year. Is this the product that you made from your Reading - Pride & Joy on your blog? Are all the mini-lessons you show photos of included?
Hi Stephanie,
The Interactive Student Notebook is blank templates with a variety of note taking pages and reflections to go along with my notebook you saw on my blog. The mini lessons are not included and can be purchased individuali.

Hi, I have purchased and downloaded this amazing notebook and am looking forward to using it in my third grade reading classroom. I would like to see your explanation of the product and how you use it. I thought I purchased it but can not find it again. HELP!
Hi! I bought your ISN online packet and I am very excited to use it this year. I have used an IN in the past and I usually use a composition notebook. I have two questions:
1) With a 3-subject notebook do you find they get sloppy and pages fall out easily? I had that problem that is why I used composition notebooks. What do you recommend or do to keep them from falling apart.
2) I am teaching both reading and writing this next year. Do you recommend having a separate notebook for each subject or would it work to do them both in the same notebook?
Hi ;)
1. I found composition books to be too small for me, that why I picked a spiral notebook. But it's really about your personal preference. It's what you're comfortable with ;)
2. I actually like the idea of integrating the two. Reading and writing are interdependent and that how I like teaching to my kids.
Hi Colleen, unfortunately the file is not editable. If there are a few changes you want to make you can email them to me and I can make those changes for you.
I bought the book but have no idea how to download it. Plus... is there any way to edit the pages? I would like to modify the pages to make them fit my curriculum. Thanks!!!

I couldn't find the free winzip to unzip it. I only found places to buy it. Can you tell me where to get it free.
Hi, no they are not. Mini lessons are sold separately (but we can work out a bundle if you're interested). The Interactive Notebook is a set of templates that can be applied to all subject areas. I hope this helps. If you have any other question don't hesitate to ask me.

Hi Mor,
Have you considered putting all your Readers' Workshop items together and offering a larger packet? I would be interested in seeing all of it together!
Thanks
Hi :) I have the broken down so that they are more affordable and that you can pick and choose the ones you like. If you would like to buy them as a bundle we can work something out. Email me at ATeachersTreasure@gmail.com

Does the ISN come with the coordinating mini-lessons or just the templates? Is there any type of bundle to purchase the mini-lessons and ISN templates together?
The ISN packet comes with templates only. I sell mini lessons for Reading separately. What g=subject & grade are you looking for? If you are interested in my mini lessons we can work out a bundle for a better price. Send me an email to ATeachersTreasure@gmail.com if you are interested.
