This activity helps students separate INTERESTING information in a story from that which is truly IMPORTANT. This can be done first as a guided activity, and then independently as a center. This works especially well with non-fiction selections.
This is my 13th year teaching. I've taught 2nd grade for 6 years, and the rest of my time in 4th grade. I also own my own educational consulting business. My staff and I teach staff development workshops in school districts across Western New York.
