This is a 2 week course that a colleage and I taught as a special "intersession" enrichment program. The zipfile contains the following items:
1. The Course Template for Board Approval (Ohio state standards for Art), budget, overview planning, etc.
2. The Course Syllabus
3. The Checklist for the Interior Design folder (items to be graded in the folder)
4. A 47 slide PowerPoint presentation on Interior Design Style Types (Victorian, Rustric, Art Deco, etc.)- lots of pictures.
5. An "Ashley Furniture" scavenger hunt activity- this would need to be modified as the furniture changes from store to store, but could be used as a template to generate a field experience.
This was a blast of an experience! We did a home makeover on 2 houses who were willing to let us take over, design, and create. Homeowners recieved room makeovers, including decor bought for the rooms etc..
