In this PowerPoint Presentation, students are introduced to the concept of style in an interactive, engaging way. The slideshow includes a definition and explanation of style as it relates to analyzing an author's style as a reader, and developing one's own style as a writer. It focuses on the elements of diction, syntax, tone, and figurative language as a basis for studying and developing style in writing. The PowerPoint does all this while keeping students involved with sound effects, stimulating visuals, and questions. (15 slides)
