This genetics quiz was written for a Biology class. It covers the basic information that a student needs to know before they begin to work genetics problems. The following concepts / terms are covered: genetics, genes, chromosomes, traits, gametes, alleles, the work of Gregor Mendel, Mendel's three laws of genetics, Mendel's use of pea plants, self-pollination vs cross pollination, Mendel's conclusions, dominance, recessiveness, genotypes, phenotypes, segregation, independent assortment.
There are no genetics problems on this quiz. The quiz has 34 fill in the blank questions, and 4 short answer questions. I use this as a quiz, but it would also make a great homework assignment, or test review.
