Just curious-were you selling it because you had already used it and had enough copies of the original pages or was it not a very useful book? My French IIs are burning out on all the grammar (even though I do use a communicative approach with constant hands-on activities). The last week of so of school I would like to give them a break and do something completely fun or something that they would really be interested in learning. I thought that book would be perfect for that. What do you think?

Some sections were great & I developed units using those pages. Some sections did not fit my program at all. As long as you know you won't use everything, it is a good investment.

I am looking for Wade Petersen's book The French high school students really want to learn. Did you not have that for sale at one point? Is it still available or is it gone? Thanks!

Yes, I did have it. It's gone.

Could you provide me with more explicit directions on how to do the French travaux menageres "marriage" game? I don't quite know how to print it out, directions to give to students, etc. Thank you

Print on 3x5 index cards. The pair prints on the same card & then you need to cut it in half. First I have the students work with the cards face up & find the matches. Use vocab & process of elimination to find pairs; "la table" could go with several, but "debarrasser" needs "table". Once they get them all logically matched together, start step 2. Mix & put face down. Play memory / concentration game as normal. I have added the master pairs list to the file.

Hi Ms R. I just wanted to tell you how much you are saving my life as I've recently returned to the classroom. I'm your biggest fan, I'd bet. Your PPT on "y" and "en" was the latest success. Just wanted to say thanks. Will post my ratings asap. They will all be 4s. :)

Royapetersen(c) re: 4 by 4 - present tense
Is there any chance you could provide an answer key? Every card should be used in a square, correc? I am not able to put it together :( I might have been in too big of a hurry. Also what is the significance of the capital letters in the middle? I have been purchasing many of your products and am a big fan but am a little stuck right now!

The cards should form a square 4 across by 4 down. Adjacent sides need to complete the verb. The letters are so that you can quickly glance & see if they are right; it spells LA CL/ASSE/ EST S/UPER.

This product looks great. Unfortunately, I only teach French I and II. Do you have a set with maybe er verbs or ER, IR and RE verbs or ETRE FAIRE AVOIR and ALLER by chance?

Thank you for your interest. I listed a present tense set (you can take out ER only if you want). My AAEF also includes venir; it is a spoons game.

I will need to see how much it would cost to mail. England was $5.50. I would imagine it would be similar.

I am looking at your test for Unit 1. It only has one question per section. Do you ask only one question or is this with the understanding that we supply the rest.

The full version of the test has more questions. Except for dictation & translation, if it is worth 10 points, there are 10 questions, etc.

Is this book in English or French? I am wondering if it is suitable for French I? I teach I and II and am interested in lessons I can leave when I have a non-French speaking sub?

The book is in French. Too difficult for French I. I have used a few of them with II. "Quizzes for promoting National French Week" is in English.

Hi
I'm looking for perhaps a powerpoint presentation including maps of all the french-speaking countries (not just Africa) and the spanish-speaking countries (could be in the same or different presentations). Have you made something like this or can you direct me to someone who has? Thanks!

I don't know about the Spanish-speaking. I do have the maps, but not posted yet. I will get to them sometime this week.
