These 54 pages of spooky and spectacular Halloween literacy and center activities will help reinforce skills and keep your students engaged. Inside you will find 8 different activities with a recording sheet for each activity, so you can help monitor your students' learning.
Roll-a-Spooky Sentence - Students roll 3 different dice with nouns, verbs, and adjectives. They then use the recording sheet to create a sentence with the words they rolled. (p. 3-7)
Making Words - 2 different Making Words activity for the words Halloween and haunted. A possible answer sheet is also included for each word. (p. 8-11)
Spooky ABC Order – There are 3 different sets of words (color coded by border) to help differentiate the activity and recording sheets. There is a set of Halloween themed words (ABC order to 1st letter, CVCe words (ABC order to 2nd letter), and CVC words (ABC order to 1st letter). (p. 12-19)
Candy Corn Synonyms – Students will place the candy corn back together by putting synonyms together. There are 2 different recording sheets. (p. 20-25)
Haunted House Contractions – Match contraction to its meaning and record. (p. 26-32)
Halloween Parts of Speech – Sort words by noun, verb or adjective and record. (p.33-45)
Haunted Houses Writing – 2 different graphic organizers are provided for students to brainstorm describing a haunted house. 4 different writing papers are included for differentiation purposes. (p. 46-53)
