This test with reading guide will provide students an in-depth assessment of Jack London's famous piece, "To Build A Fire". Students will be assessed on foreshadowing, personification, the significance of the simile, as well as other English/Language Arts skills. They will also learn about hypothermia and "Naturalism". For your convenience, the answers are "bolded" on the 23-question test.
The quiz, questions, and notes were very helpful and relevant. However, the quiz is presented with the answers in bold, so I had to edit it for printing and distribution to my student. Besides that minor inconvenience, the lesson was great!

I have taught all levels of English/Language Arts to grades 9-11 in a public school setting (special ed, on-level, honors, and Advanced Placement). I am now working at the new Spring ISD Career Academy that integrates various career and technology courses into the academics.
