This writing menu is specifically geared towards the month of January and the upcoming new year. The menu is composed of nine writing assignments/activities requiring the use of various writing/text structures.
To Use: Simply print off the menu page and glue to the front of a folder (I use a piece of 12x18 construction paper folded in half). Depending on the desired end product, I either assign specific activities or let the students have free choice.
I have also created a newspaper type page to be used with this menu. Once printed off and enlarged (12x18) students can use the page to complete a personalized themed page, with a focus on the new year. (Great for goal setting)
