Fantastic Japanese Imperialism Lesson Plan!!! This is an intense lesson that uses primary sources to demonstrate the realities of conquered peoples under Japanese imperialism. The lesson plan uses the "Treaty of Annexation" and an eye-witness account written in the New York Times about the Rape of Nanking. Engaging questions follow both primary sources. Furthermore, there is a teacher-facing page that explains various methods for teaching the lesson and Common Core State Standard alignments.
