This power point is a fun way to teach first graders and higher level K students about Johnny Appleseed. It starts out with a brief overview of who John Chapman was and it includes fun pictures and details to help keep the attention of the students.

It then goes on to show a poem that could be shared with the class and it is a short one, so students can catch on to it quickly and read along.

There is then brief math practice with apples, addition and subtraction, along with two story problems about apples.

The presentation ends with a song that goes along to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" that the children will be sure to love!

This is a fun way to slip a little celebration for Johnny Appleseed's birthday into an already super busy day! :)
