This product contains an entire school year's worth of journal prompts. They are grouped together based by week (February Week 1, February Week 2, etc). Each week contain five prompts: an autobiographical prompts, a problem-solving prompt, a writing for a purpose prompt, creative writing prompt, and a story title prompt. I have also included a week's worth of continuous story prompts for students who might be struggling with idea development.
These journal prompts tie in perfectly with meeting the Common Core Standards of
ELACCKW1, ELACCKW2, ELACCKW3

ELACC2W1, ELACC2W2, ELACC2W3
ELACC3W2, ELACC3W2, ELACC3W3
My classroom completes the Daily 5 rotations, one of which is Work on Writing. Each week, they are provided with the new week's "brain starters" or story prompts. But you could use these during writer's workshop or whenever you usually do writing/journaling.

Pg 4 to 48 - Prompts (225 total)
