Journal Prompts for April is a compilation of 30 journal topics for middle school and high school students. These journal prompts are written so that on each day of the month, there is a topic that correlates with an event that happened in the past during the month of April. The topics range from dates in history with wars, science, literature, sports, and entertainment. These prompts are wonderful to use across the curriculum and with Common Core Standards. These are also great to use year after year. I love them because the students learn a little piece of history every time they write a journal topic, and it doesn't matter what day of the week I assign them a topic because I have a journal prompt that pertains to that particular day.

Thank you for your feedback. I have lots of journal prompts, but we are now going to use Common Core Standards, so I tried to come up with journal topics that would incorporate science, social studies, etc. into my journal prompts. They have really been stressing that the language arts teachers in our county bring in science and social studies into our classrooms.
