On the sorting, I would like to see where the KIDS make the words. A lot of mine are simply looking for the vowel and not actually "making" and having to pronounce it. I've changed that part. Overall, I love the vocab practice and comprehension part. Cause and Effect was dynomite!
Thanks! Many of the supplemental units do include word building activities where the students do have to make/build the words themselves. They are labled as Building Words with .... or If I Can Spell... (which is great to use with phonics). I recommend the If I Can Spell be taught whole group,at least for the first few times. Unfortunately, this unit does not currently include Building Words.
