This is my absolute FAVORITE book to start the year with. The story starts off with Judy's first day of school. The children really connect with it and it gets them going with the series. I usually read this book in September but for some reason I didn't and I've noticed that my top readers in 2nd grade have not been reading the many titles I have for Judy Moody books...I will read this story and use this packet! Love the reading response questions!

I was under the impression that this had 30 different pages of activities to go with the book. There were pages with the same activities, just different line sizes for answers. I also thought there would be more comprehension questions that required students to use the text to answer questions.

Over the years I have worked my way up from Preschool to Kindergarten to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I've been in third grade for 6 years and simply adore teaching this age. My experiences have included inner-city and neighborhood schools in the suburbs. I've loved both for different reasons.
