This is four day, higher-level thinking, mini-unit on the Points-of-View (Plebeians & Patricians) surrounding the reign of Julius Caesar incorporates 21st Century Skills and Common Core. This lesson requires computer access and the ability to access and use voicethread.com. The lesson encourages the students to apply what they have already learned about Julius Caesar (specifically The New Calendar System, Public Works, New Citizens, Honest government, The Poor, Grain, Things Caesar Encouraged, and Caesar Assassination etc...).
This packet includes a rough lesson plan (just for you to see my thought process and benchmarks that applied to this activity for me) a complete handout/assignment sheet for the students, as well as an individual and group rubric for the activity. The final sheet includes three links to student examples from this exact assignment.
Assignment does not include information on how to make a VoiceThread. However, voicethread.com is a free internet site and is pretty user friendly. My students had no trouble learning as they went.
