Jumble Stories is a very fun creative writing activity. Students use a number coding system to choose the major parts of their story- character, setting, and problem. The combinations and possibilities are endless! It is exciting to see what funny story elements can be used to write a fabulous story.
This is a wonderful activity to use at writing centers or to include in a substitute packet. Jumble Stories are a terrific rainy day writing assignment. Stories can be written independently or with a partner.
