** This file is also included in the Just Add Paper K-5 Bundle and K-5 Super Sub Bundle **
These lessons are intended for teachers and subs who have true one-day lesson emergencies... so much of an emergency they do not even have time to make copies. A teacher or sub can download and immediately use these lessons without gathering very many materials at all. These lessons are written at a fourth grade level and include:
- A reading lesson
- A math lesson
- A language arts lesson
- A social studies lesson
- A science lesson
The only materials needed for these lessons are basic school supplies (pencils, markers, crayons, glue, and scissors), favorite picture books, and PAPER! Some suggested types of paper to have handy are:
- Notebook paper
- Construction paper
- Other letter-sized paper
I love having this ready to go in case I have to be out without notice. I just added my daily schedule/routines page and told my teaching partner where the box is located!

Wahoo! This is pure genius! Thank you! You walk on water!
Thank you for this timesaver!! I was behind on getting this together for the office. Very helpful and limits the need for photocopies!! That's a bonus!
Yes, other plans may have more pages, but the point of these plans are that they need no copies. So, there are no reproducibles. The lessons are spelled out for each subject with directions. And they cover one day of lessons in each subject as stated in the product description.
Well, I am glad it was not what you expected in a good way. Don't forget to always check for previews. Many sellers, including me, have them for all paid products.
Thought long and hard about leaving this review, but since we teachers cannot afford to spend money on items that are not exactly what we expected, feel that I must. I hate to say this, but there is not much substance to this, for a $5.00 product (perhaps if it had been much less...). For that amount, I expected a lot more than generic ideas. I purchased another product for emergency sub plans here on TPT for a little less money, and a lot more substance, creativity and it had ready-to-go pieces that truly were "just add paper." In all, I was disappointed with this purchase. A shame, because I had downloaded this seller's free product on The Lorax and had liked it. I had expected this product to be at least as good, and more, for the price.
I am so sorry you feel this way. I know that my plans work well for many teachers, but no plans are the right fit for everyone. I am sorry they did not work for you. They are left generic on purpose to allow for the teacher or the sub to choose the book. Since I have no way of knowing what book you will choose, the activity in the plans works for any book.
When I get sick...and it *will* happen, I feel comfortable leaving these in my emergency sub plan folder and having a sub use them to work with my kids--You. are. AWESOME.
