I am strictly a math teacher. Do you have a bundle with only math games? What exactly is a poke game? Thank you!

Hey, there! It depends upon your grade level but I have lots of activities that are just for math. When you're at my store, just click on the Elementary Math link on the left. To best understand poke games, check out this blog post - http://flapjackeducationalresources.blogspot.com/2013/03/self-checking-center-cards-poke-cards.html?m=1. Thanks for your interest!

I think they will! I taught kindergarten for six years and they really enjoyed the poke game format.

Curious about the "poke game" idea... what are the suggestions for what to use? I wasn't sure if the kids were just coloring in the bulls eye, or doing something more fun?

Thanks, Kim

Hey, there! Click <a href="http://flapjackeducationalresources.blogspot.com/2012/04/addition-peek-poke-freebie-and-new-poke.html">here</a> for a blog post about how to use poke games. I believe that should help explain. If not, please write again and I'll explain to you in further detail. Thanks!

Hi, This is probably a crazy question: what is "Poke"? is this a pdf file to print out cards, or is it meant to be played on a SMART board?
Are there some instructions for the game.
I'm just trying to gauge how easy it would be to infuse this into our daily practice.

Thanks!

Not crazy at all, several people have asked me this. They are PDF printable cards, and you can see a better explanation at my blog <a href="http://flapjackeducationalresources.blogspot.com/2012/04/addition-peek-poke-freebie-and-new-poke.html">here</a>. Hope that helps!

We have interwrite boards in our building. Will this format work on an interwrite board?

I'm so sorry! I thought I had responded to your question already! Anyways, I really don't if Smart Board files are compatible with interwrite boards. You could download some freebies for Smart Board here on TPT and see how they work. You can also upload Smarboard files through the site smarttech.express.com but I'm not sure if the functions will still work for you there. Wish I could be more help, and I apologize again for my delayed response.

im so sorry to ask this, but what is a poke game?
March 3, 2012 Report inappropriate comment
FlapJack Educational Resources
No worries, Beadboard! They are self-checking cards that contain a problem, several choices, and punched holes under each answer choice. Using a pencil, students poke through the correct answer and look on the back of the card to see if the circle they poked their pencil through has a circle around it. If it does, they are correct. For a better visual and explanation, click <a href="http://flapjackeducationalresources.blogspot.com/2011/10/inches-feet-inches-conversions-poke.html">here</a>. Hope this helps!
