This is an assessment that shows growth over the course of the year. It includes student pages and teacher pages. This assessment tests students on the Foundational skills and a few Langauge skills in Common Core. The following common core standards are tested on this test:
RF.K.1 Print Concepts
RF.K.2 Phonological Awareness
RF.K.3 Phonics and Word Recognition
RF.K.4 Fluency
RI.K.4 Craft and Structure
L.K.1 Conventions of Standard English (letter sounds)
L.K.2 Demonstrate command of conventions (spelling and writing)
If you need anything changed, I would be happy to align it with any of your standards that are not the same. bbsutton48@yahoo.com
This is the best Kindergarten ELA assessment that I have seen. I like that it is usable across the year, provides you stardardization materials (the letter and word mats), and benchmarks. The spreadsheet to go with is next on my list of purchases...thank you so much for making this Kindergarten teachers job so much easier.
Love this! Had heard about this from another teacher and wanted it for myself so bought it! It is going to make it so much easiuer for report cards and conferences!
There are a lot of components to this assessment and I have supplied the student and teacher copies. I am sorry if you do not think that it is worth what I have it listed for.
Thank you for your purchase. Even teaching for 9 years doesn't make it easier, especailly with the new standards. I hope it helps. My team and I use all the assessments that I have on here and we get valuable information on all students to help drive our instruction.

If I was to order this, the math, and the Excel data files that go along with it, would I/you be able to edit the assessment dates to align with the dates we use in our district? Also, is there a way to determine criteria for "at risk, meeting, progressing" or is that predetermined?
Thank you!

On the phonics assessment of letter sounds, how do you assess this skill. I have always pointed to the letter and asked what sound, but some of my colleagues say the letter name and ask the child what sound it makes. Any clarification? Thanks.
I have been teaching for 9 years in a title one school. After my first year of teaching I looped up with my Kindergarteners to first grade, which was a wonderful experience. I then went back to Kindergarten where I truely love it.
