This is my 2nd homework packet for Kindergarteners. Each activity aligns with the K Common Core Standards. It is a "Tic Tac Toe" which includes math and language arts activities. Children complete the 4 corners and one additional activity to make a tic tac toe. I included an "award" sheet with similar clip art to the packet but could be used for anything. I also made a data record form so you can keep track of who returns their packet.
The packet is designed to maintain a positive school to home connection. It provides parents with an opportunity to work with their child for a few minutes each night to see their progress and skill level. Most of the activities can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

I love these homework packs. Since we will no longer get workbooks from our school for homework use, these are perfect. I can't wait to purchase the whole year.
Thanks!

Hi
Will you be creating any more of the tic tac toe homework packets? love love love these and with just starting to teach Common core this year they are so helpful! Thanks!
My other homework packets have one activity to complete each weeknight. They have the tic-tac-toe cover sheet but there is themed clip art in four of the boxes. Does that make sense? I think you can see what I am trying to describe in the preview picture. Sorry, not sure I am wording that clearly.
Thanks for your interest!!

Hi Ms. Messenger,
I really like the format of your September homework. Will you be posting/selling others for the others months of the school year?
thanks!
Yes, I will have it for every month and a summer review pack. Each set will be ready a week or so before the end of the month. I am working on October now.

Good Afternoon,
I purchased both of your homework packets to use in the fall. I was wondering how you go about sending home the packet? The students choose 5. Do you send home all of the forms for them to choose? Also, are you planning on making any more of these packets. I would love to use this format throughout the year and purchase your packets. Thanks for the great product and the info.
I send a note to parents the week before I begin my homework packets. I send mine on Monday and ask them to be returned the following Monday. I actually wrote a blog post about homework last week. You can read it here: http://joyoflife2011.blogspot.com/2012/07/kindergarten-homework.html I am making monthly homework packet. You can look for September and October to be added around August 1st. Thanks so much for asking!!
I have only found 2 weekly homework packets on the website..am I overlooking the rest or have they not been posted yet? I am really looking forward to downloading a year's worth of homework! :)
My district just changed to a new math curriculum. I just went to the inservice last week. This summer I am doing the entire year of homework. It will all still align with the Common Core. I am currently drafting it out by month so that I am sure to cover everything. So I guess the answer is yes and no, :) Right now I just have the two but I will have the year by August. As I get each month completed I will upload it. Thanks so much for your interest!! I appreciate it!
I have worked as an Intervention Specialist for 20 years. I currently work with Kindergarteners (which I LOVE) and I have also taught Preschoolers and 1st graders. Each age level has their unique perks but I think Kindergarten is my favorite.
