Have your students make a mini-book for a plant study. Each page can be used as a hands-on lesson and at the end, children have a book of learning to take home. The lesson packet includes teacher guide and background, student pages for the book, rubric for scoring and a final performance test activity. A larger version of the Plant Study Book is also included.
This meets the following Texas TEKS standard for Kindergarten:
K.10: Organisms and environments. The student knows that organisms resemble their parents and have structures and processes that help them survive within their environments. The student is expected to:
B. identify parts of plants such as roots, stem, and leaves

I can enlarge this for you quickly because I have all the artwork in tiff format. I can send it through email. OR- would it be better to make a large book format and add that to the lesson so teachers would have a choice?
I did test it on a pre-schooler who managed well with the size but I admit she was an advanced little 5 year old with fine motor skills.
