This is a simple to manage book reading activity. Included is a letter describing the system to the parents and a reading log to keep track of all that reading! We desperately want our children to read, read, read! We want their families to read with them and to them. We want it to be fun and we want it to be consistent! This Book Buddy Book Borrow program was so easy for me to use in my kindergarten class and the kids couldn't get enough of it! You may purchase plastic bags with handles, or just use gallon size plastic bags. Write each child's name on the bag with a permenant marker. The book that they borrow and the reading log are to "live" in this bag when they are not being read. The children find a buddy, read their book to or with them, whichever teacher wants, and the book is recorded on the reading log with the buddy's signature. The log is turned in on Friday. Renew your class's enthusiasm for reading! Make these last few months be the most rewarding and exciting yet!
