Kindergarten and First Grade Writing Journals by Teacher Tam. Included are 2 journals: a basic journal (more appropriate for kindergarten) and a more advanced journal. OVER 50 PROMPTS ARE INCLUDED! Each journal contains 30 draw-and-write pages with prompts. 22 of the prompts have been expanded for the advanced journal. Use them in one grade or another, or to differentiate your writing activities. Topics included are: Reading response prompts, holidays (such as Halloween and Earth Day), the seasons, and general questions. Both journals are in Word so that you can easily adapt the materials.

I have been teaching for almost 13 years, most of them spent teaching pre-K and kindergarten. I also have experience teaching up to 3rd grade. I have used my love of reading to develop a set of 30 phonics-based beginning reading books for use in preschool-first grade. In addition, I have developed sets of reading games and math games that can be used in the classroom or as take-home activities and can be adjusted to address various skill levels. They have proven to be a success in my own classroom and I'm excited to share them on Teachers Pay Teachers!
