48- page booklet - The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a powerful book which students enjoy reading and discussing. This unit package includes chapter discussion questions which the teacher can use or duplicate for group work, chapter reading quizzes, a handout for students to identify characters as they read, three different tests, and a list of essay questions. Excellent product! Well worth the money, since I used so much of it. I love the 5 question quiz format. It was very helpful in checking who actually did the reading. I, too, wish that this was in a format that can be edited. I was unable to get the pdftoword cite to work. Thanks for putting this great product together though.

This is a great unit. It has tons of questions as well as blank answer documents and the keys for quizzes. The only thing that would make it better is if it were not a PDF file, but in one that could be edited. I teach resource level English, and some of the questions are too difficult for my students. There are also over 300 study guide questions. It would be nice to be able to edit the documents to suit your specific needs.

Item is well worth the money. There are tons of study,short answer, and essay questions to support the novel. I think the seller presents a good deal of variety--explanations are thorough--very good quality. The packet will definitely help moniter comprehension as you read the novel, provide writing opportunities to help students make connections well beyond the novel--very impressed at first glance.

I was looking for a multiple choice test. This served as a good basis, but required quite a bit of work to adapt. I was surprised at the number of errors. For example, Zalman instead of Zaman. Kyber Pass instead of Khyber Pass. Also, there are question errors. For example, Q48 of Short Answer asks what Amir does for an entire year. I believe it should ask what Sohrab does for an entire year since the answer is "stay silent."

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I worked in schools either as a middle school teacher, high school teacher, or administrator for over thirty years. Most of my experience has been in high school English classrooms. I have taught everything from ninth-grade literature to students with major reading problems all the way to AP English Language and Composition teacher. Although I love teaching, I retired at the end of the 2009-2010 school year when over 500 teachers in my district lost their jobs because of the bad economy. I'm praying that the economy will improve and I will be able to find another teaching job in high school or college in the future.
