The assessments have a few questions related more to background (some of which I do not teach) than to the poem itself, but it may inspire me to make sure the students read that background material more closely in order to do well on the quiz. Thank you!

I taught English (grades 9 - 12) for 36 years in public schools. I have also taught basic computer courses for adults as part of our schools senior evening school program.
