The purpose is to acquaint students with a large number people whose accomplishments have had an impact on society.

â€¢ Understands that specific beliefs can have an impact on history
â€¢ Knows how to trace the influence of an idea or belief
a. Students draw names of famous individuals,
b. complete a mini-research card on each person they drew,
c. post their color-coordinated cards on a bio-wall so other students can read the mini-bios categorized by career/accomplishments.
Procedures for in-Depth research:
d. Students select an individual to do an in-depth study,
e. create a bio-cube on the person,
f. and give a presentation to the class.
This unit includes over 575 names on slips, color-coordinated posters, bookmarks, mini-research cards, graphic organizer, student directions, teacher direction, and a cube pattern.
