Laminate the 30 contraction cards and cut them apart.
Class Play
1. Distribute one or more cards to each student.
3. Instruct students to read their cards silently so they know what contraction they have and what contraction they will be looking for.
4. Ask, "Who has the 'I begin' card?†Have that child begin the process by reading his/her card.
Who has the contraction for I am?
I do. The contraction for I am is I'm.
Who has the contraction for you will?
...and the game continues.
Note: A flow-chart is provided to keep track of student responses. Several options are given for play.

I have used this game/activity for math facts but never thought about using it for grammar! Great idea!

This was not what was stated. It has nothing to do with pronouns. This was a contraction game. Money should be refunded.
