After mastering the seven lessons in this comprehensive unit, students will be able to identify the
basic activities performed by all living things. They will be able to describe the basic characterisitcs of prokaryotes, eukaryotes, and viruses, explain the basic structure of all cells and how plant cells differ from animal cells. They will have learned how biologists use a microscope to see cells and explan how cells reproduce. They will also be able to describe how multicellular organisms form so many different kinds of cells.
