It's working well. We just started today. The kids are learning things about immigration that is good for them to know. They are also learning more vocabulary; I especially appreciate that the vocab includes phrases rather than single words. Great product!

Depends on your goal. How many movies do you want to show? If you only want to show one movie, then La Misma Luna is fantastic! There are so many various activities and a lot of great cultural information included in this packet. If you plan to show multiple movies, then the packet for multiple movies would be great, too. However, we highly recommend them both. :o)

for what level SPanish would this be appropriate? Are the Spanish (speaking, writing, listening) activities appropriate for level 1?

There are some activities that would work for level one. I use most of the activities from the packet with level 2 kids. However, the immigration quiz, the information about citizenship, the opinion survey, etc. are all in English. The vocabulary is in Spanish/English, all Spanish and all English so it can be used in all levels. I hope that helps you with your decision whether to buy. This movie is such as great film. I hope your students enjoy watching it!
