Kids love ladybugs! This literacy unit taps into their natural curiosity and fascination of ladybugs. It includes an original story, Six Little Ladybugs, and lots of literacy activities your little ones are sure to love. It has letter, sound, sight word and numeral recognition, as well rhyming words, handwriting, graphing, comprehension and ladybug observation pages. I hope you enjoy using Ladybugs with your kiddos!
Thanks for sharing so many great activities. Your "Ladybugs: A Kindergarten Literacy Unit" was the featured "Free Lesson of the Day" at The Best of Teacher Entrepreneurs.
Wishing you the best,

I loved visiting your store––so original! I'm new on TpT and I was just reading a comment you left for someone on the forum. Your words were so caring and genuine that I just had to check you out. I'm following you.
What a sweet thing for you to say. I really appreciate your stopping by to tell me that and welcome to TpT. You are going to love it. It is full of caring and supportive people, because we are teachers...that is what we do! :)

Great variety of cute activities. I love that they use various skills instead of being all rearrangement of the same thing. The mini-book is very cute. I'm having my little one draw her own pictures.
You are so sweet! I am glad you are enjoying the ladybugs with your little one! :) Thank you for taking time to leave me this comment. I know how valuable time is when you have tiny ones at home.
You are very welcome and thank you so much for taking the time to leave me this message. I really appreciate it and hope you have a wonderful year with your little ones.
Super cute ideas. I love your poem, Six Little Ladybugs.
A black and white copy would have been good and then It could be copied for a reader for the students..just a thought.
Thanks for sharing
Rhonda
Thank you, so much for your comments, Rhonda. I am so glad you like my unit. I got that cute clipart from another seller here on TpT (Graphics from the Pond) and if blackline clipart had come with the package I would have done just that, because, like you, I like to have a blackline copy to run off for my students. If she does come out with a blackline package, I will update the unit, because that is an excellent suggestion. I am also in the process of teaching myself to make digital clipart, so that I will have color and blackline graphics to go with my units. Thank you again for taking the time to help me develop better products.
On the page where you have to circle the items beginning with Ll the instructions say circle the words that start with Ll but there are no words just pictures. Other than that this is a super little unit thank you for sharing your creativity My class will enjoy this.
Oh, thank you! This is my first comment and I am so excited! I really hope you enjoy using my unit. I am just learning how to work my way around TpT and I appreciate the fact that you took the time to give me some feedback.
I noticed an error on one of my pages...page 4 where the children color sight words. I corrected it, if you would like to get a copy of the corrected page. I apologize and again, thank you so much!

I love your original book about the 6 Little ladybugs. It would be great for my Kdg class readers! Is it possible to download in black and white?
Thank you so much! Have you tried printing in grayscale? If you want a black line version, I could probably make one, but the graphics might have to be changed slightly because the original colored ones didn't come in black line. Let me know if you want me try.
