This is a great language arts workbook to use with any story! It would also work well with chapter books. It is 9 pages long and covers 26 different language arts standards, including author's purpose, context clues, comparing/contrasting, consonant clusters/digraphs, compound words, quotation marks, capitalization, punctuation, sentence types, narrator, summarizing, contractions, syllables, fact/opinion, parts of speech, possessives, ABC order, singular/plural, synonyms/antonyms, prefixes/suffixes, story types, homophones, verb tense, proper nouns, making connections, and subject/predicate. What a great way to cover so many standards with any story you choose, and in a fun format that is almost like a treasure hunt for your students! If you have used any of my Houghton Mifflin story workbooks, you will like this for other stories you may cover in your class. It could also be used as independent work for each student with their own individual story or for buddies to work together in cooperative partners or groups!
