I have designed this unit to use at the beginning of the year to review good listening behaviors with my students. The unit includes an original story written by me entitled "Monster School." The story follows two monsters, Lanie who is a Lovable Listener and Louie, who is a Lousy Listener. There are several extension activities for students to complete independently or as a class. You can also use these materials to create anchor charts to refer to throughout the year. At the end of the unit is a Lovable Listeners Pledge for your students to sign and display in the classroom.
