If you are ready to implement the Math Workshop, but don't know where to start, this is for you! The LINK Math Workshop Framework is a system I created to help you manage your math workshop. In this download you will find an overview of the management system, 2 sample schedules for the LINK Math Workshop, 5 weeks of plans to layout an idea of how to launch the LINK Math Workshop successfully, blank templates you can use to plan, labels to categorize your math stations, 4 sample I-Charts, a sample I-Can list, a list of ways to praise a partner, and an "Ask 3 Before Me" sign. The 5 week launch plans I created were for my 1st grade classroom. It should be easy, though, to modify for your classroom by changing the activities. Although it is not necessary for you to buy, my plans mention many of the activities found in my Pattern Unit and Beginning Number Concepts Unit. It will be available in my store very soon. Enjoy!
This was so helpful when planning my math workshop!

This was super helpful in organizing my own math workshop. Even though I don't plan to use the LINK acronym I loved seeing into someone else's plans and learning from you.

Very good resource for the idea and basic "how-to" set up a math workshop using the LINK idea. I like that it included the schedule forms too. I was hoping for a little more guidance on the activities and maybe a script for working with the student leaders, but overall I found this very helpful for starting my own math workshop in the classroom. Thanks!
I'm glad you found some of it useful. I'd be happy to give you more guidance if you'd like. Feel free to email me with any specific questions you have, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. My email is colleen.patton115@gmail.com
I am in my 3rd year of teaching, and I love it! I am currently teaching kindergarten, and previously taught first grade for 2 years. I have published one article and have been chosen to help write curriculum for Language Arts in my district.
