Introduce your students to the culture of China with my 21 page SmartBoard lesson! They will learn about the location of China on the map, view the flag, listen to the national anthem, learn about the Giant Panda through a video link, learn about the Chinese New Year through a website link and a video link, watch a video taken at the Great Wall (link), view and learn about ancient Chinese writing (links to printables included) and finally, explore the world of Sagwa through Amy Tan's book, Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat (you may want to purchase or borrow this book to use with your lesson) and a video link. A printable is included for your students to write about what they learned. Have fun learning about the culture of China. (other culture smartboard lesson are also available)

Thank you so much for the kind words and the grade level comment. I just adjusted the level to exclude kdg.(I'm guessing you work with kdg. students). I really appreciate this kind of feedback as it helps me make the product better. I use this with my first graders and it's good to know that it's a little to advanced for younger students. :-) Thank you!! I appreciate it! I hope that some of the lesson was usable.
